On May 29, 2025, the Faculty of Foreign Languages at the University of Tirana, in collaboration with the Faculty of Philology at the University of Prishtina \u201cHasan Prishtina,\u201d organized the
\ninternational conference \u201cNew Horizons in Translation and Interpreting in the Digital Age:
\nChallenges and Perspectives.\u201d This important event brought together experts, researchers, and students from Albania, Kosovo, and other countries to discuss the impact of technology and
\ndigitalization on the field of translation and interpreting.<\/p>\n

The conference opened with welcoming remarks from Ms. Esmeralda Kromidha, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, and Mr. Abdulla Rexhepi, Dean of the Faculty of Philology at the
\nUniversity of Prishtina. The keynote speaker, Associate Professor Monika P\u0142u\u017eycka from the University of Warsaw, shared her insights on the use of technology to understand cognitive
\nprocesses in translation.<\/p>\n

Throughout the conference, plenary sessions and parallel panels were held, where challenges and opportunities presented by the digital age in translation and interpreting were discussed\u2014
\nincluding the use of digital tools such as machine translation and artificial intelligence. The event was attended by numerous researchers and experts from various universities, who contributed with presentations and in-depth discussions on translation and interpreting in the context of digitalization.<\/p>\n
