Students of the \u201cBachelor in British and American Studies\u201d programme at the Department of English Language, Faculty of Foreign Languages, UT, engaged in an awareness-raising activity on the occasion of Earth Day, aiming to educate younger citizens about our shared responsibility to protect our common home\u2014the planet Earth.<\/p>\n
Using their study of two key pillars leading to the emergence of the Modern Environmental Movement\u2014the publication of Silent Spring by Rachel Carson and the first Earth Day protest in the United States on April 22, 1970\u2014students prepared a presentation, an awareness-raising video, and a reading activity designed to encourage pupils to reflect and take action.<\/p>\n
The visit to the \u201cMihal Grameno\u201d 9-year school became a valuable learning and reflective experience for the students themselves\u2014a meaningful reconnection with their younger selves and a step toward their future roles as educators.<\/p>\n
