On November 24, the English language department organized the 13th International Conference, within the Project “Improving scientific research with young researchers of the English Language Department” where English language teachers, young researchers, researchers and local and foreign academics.
An added value in this conference was the participation of two distinguished professors, Prof. Henrik Gottlieb, Emeritus Professor of English at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, Chairman of the “GLAD” Network (Global Anglicism Database) and Prof. Nick Ceramella Vice President of the British association “The D. H. Lawrence Society”, as well as professor at the universities of La Sapienza, Rome, SISS Roma Tre, Università per Stranieri, Perugia, l’Orientale Naples, SICSI Federico II Naples, Università degli Studi dell ‘Aquila, and latterly professor at the University of Trento.
Prof. Dr. Viktor Ristani, in the capacity of Head of Department and Project Manager, opened the conference and emphasized the importance of organizing this conference, the results of which are directly related to the quality of teaching. The conference was greeted by Prof. Dr. Esmeralda Kromidha, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, who emphasized the importance of scientific research and the support that the English Language Department has found for the realization of scientific research objectives.
During the conference, more than 40 scientific papers were presented and discussed by young researchers, doctoral students registered at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, but also invited lecturers from Italy, Germany and Kosovo in the field of linguistics, translation and comparative literature, approaching the Albanian language with the English one.
This activity is indicative of the scientific research work of the lecturers of this department.
