Professional practice and summer school

The professional practice constitutes an important element in the curricula of the Master of Science study program in “Language, Intercultural and Touristic Communication”. The practice provides for the use of the knowledge acquired in the theoretical courses, in a practical and professional context. To fulfill the anticipated objectives of the study program, students must develop an internship in one or several local or foreign institutions/organizations/companies.

The numerous MOU-type agreements that the Faculty of Foreign Languages (FFL) has with public and private institutions (museums, travel agencies, enterprises, various companies that focus on communication) ensure students the practical application of the acquired theoretical knowledge during learning. During the internship, the student activates and connects theoretical knowledge with practical ones, so that the internship in institutions is a valuable experience that can also serve as a starting point for a successful career and employment in the future.

At the end of the first year, for students enrolled in this program, the Faculty of Foreign Languages organizes a Summer School where students attend lectures by the best local specialists and are mentored by the Faculty’s lecturers in public and non-public institutions. The organization of this summer school aimed at adapting to the specifics of the labor market, getting to know the territory, the actors involved in the communication chain as well as the field of practicing their future profession constitutes an added value for this study program.
