With the ongoing initiative, the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the University of Tirana, and the Faculty of History and Philology, today, successfully hosted the “Job Fair 2024” for the third consecutive year!
In its third installment, this fair aims to provide students from both faculties that qualify students in humanities and social sciences, with ample opportunities and platforms for internships and direct employment in the job market.
Featuring a significant participation of 45 companies from both public and private sectors, students had the opportunity to explore various professional internships and employment prospects through offers specific to their fields of study, presented by specifically selected companies and organizations.”
The Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Prof. Dr. Esmeralda KROMIDHA, and the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of History and Philology, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Elsa Skënderi Rakipllari, extended their greetings and gratitude to all participants for their valuable contribution to this significant event aimed at fostering students’ career development.
At the commencement of this edition, the dean, Prof. Dr. Esmeralda KROMIDHA expressed her appreciation to all the businesses participating in the 2024 Job Fair, noting a significant increase in their numbers. She underscored the Fair’s continued commitment, now in its third edition, to fostering sustainable collaborations with local businesses. These ongoing partnerships have proven fruitful in directly linking students with key stakeholders in the labor market.
Roundtable discussions with businesses, open lectures, and training sessions led by industry professionals in the auditoriums of the Faculty of Foreign Languages have facilitated the exchange of valuable insights and experiences regarding our study programs, practical student training, the professional potential of the job market and also have contributed to fulfilling the tertiary mission of higher education. Prof. Dr. Esmeralda KROMIDHA emphasized the significance of our commitment to implementing inter-institutional and professional cooperation agreements, which have provided assurances for the professional future of our students.A sincere appreciation is extended to the faculty staff, representatives from Career Counseling offices, and faculty administrators for their outstanding teamwork, which has provided tangible results, as evidenced by this fair.
Additionally, Vice Dean of the Faculty of History and Philology, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Elsa Skënderi Rakipllari, expressed gratitude to all participating businesses for their dedication to the 2024 Job Fair. She underscored the significance that the University of Tirana and its faculties place on providing students with opportunities and resources to engage with the job market.
At the conclusion of the 2024 Job Fair, all business representatives participating in the event were introduced to the “Business-FFL” Platform, marking a significant milestone for the Faculty of Foreign Languages- UT. This platform, designed, developed, and presented by IT Specialist Mr. Dejan Kushta, represents a major advancement in how the educational institution interfaces with the business community in real time, and how students access employment opportunities and advance their careers through technology. By using technology and science in a innovative way, FFL-UT aims to establish an innovative employment ecosystem, streamlining communication and information exchange between students and companies.
