The Faculty of Foreign Languages at the University of Tirana, in collaboration with the Albanian National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation (AKKSHI) and the Albanian National Association of the Deaf (ANAD), is organizing a Roundtable Discussion on the topic:
“Language, Identity, and Inclusion: The Sociolinguistic Perspective of Deaf Individuals”
This event takes place within the framework of the PKKZH project, funded by AKKSHI, focusing on:
“Advancing research in Albanian Sign Language: from documentation and vocabulary enrichment to the sociolinguistic analysis of communication among deaf individuals.”

To explore the linguistic, cultural, and identity dimensions of the Deaf community, as well as the challenges and opportunities for their inclusion through Albanian Sign Language and inclusive policies.
