The research and teaching group “Linguistics and Communication” of the Department of German Language, Faculty of Foreign Languages, University of Tirana (FGJH-UT), promoted the scientific monograph “Eqerem Çabej in Albanology and European Linguistics – A digitized Open Access monograph based on authentic materials previously unpublished, translated into Albanian (correspondence with the distinguished scholars Prof. Gerhard Rohlfs – Tübingen, Prof. Hermann Ölberg – Innsbruck, and Prof. Maximilian Lambertz – Leipzig).”
In this monograph, the figure of Eqerem Çabej emerges through evaluations, reflections, and scholarly dialogue with three prominent figures of European linguistics.
Through this unique documentary corpus, his undisputed authority in Albanology is revealed, together with the depth of his scientific methodology and the fundamental role he played in consolidating Albanian linguistics as a discipline with an international dimension.
In this publication, Çabej is presented as a scholar of great intellectual integrity, a reference point for Albanological research, and a natural bridge between the Albanian scholarly tradition and European linguistic thought.
The monograph was published in Germany by the publishing house ATHENA and represents the outcome of a scientific project carried out within the framework of the PKKZH programs, with the support of the National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation (AKKSHI).
