On 04.05.2026, Group BA 3A (Translation and Interpretation branch) at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, University of Tirana, successfully held a Mock Simultaneous Interpreting Conference on the topic of “Same-sex Marriage”.
The aim was to simulate a real professional environment, giving students the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice.
The conference was divided into two sessions:
📌 Session 1 — Issues concerning same-sex individuals in society. (Pro & Con)
📌 Session 2 — Same-sex marriage and children. (Pro & Con)
Through this experience, students deepened their knowledge of specialized terminology, developed critical thinking skills, professional interpreting, and time management. This activity demonstrates the students’ dedication to building a strong foundation in the interpreting profession.
