Sidita Hoxhiq Dano, PhD, lecturer at the Department of English, Faculty of Foreign Languages, University of Tirana.
Since 2008, she has been working as a full time lecturer at the Department of English. In 2017 she defended the title for her doctoral studies in Postmodern American Literature. However, since the beginning the main focus of her teaching was in subjects like Introduction to literature, Stylistics and English as a Second Foreign Language, and since 2019 she has also been involved in the subject of Psycholinguistics for the students of Master in Teaching.
She has been involved in research and studies based on literature and linguistic development, especially during the last years, where some articles and conference attendances were focused mostly on some comparative studies with Albanian language and literary works, in cooperation with lecturers of Albanian language department.
She has been performing didactic and research activities in the field of language development of students beyond the faculty, especially in the preparation of students for important international English language exams, in cooperation with important recruitment agencies. Since 2022, She has also given her contribution in training young teachers in teaching for International English examinations.
She has also been part of an Erasmus training week in the university of Tuschia, Italy and participant in several trainings, online and on site on different fields relevant to educational development.
