“Spanish the global language” 
The Faculty of Foreign Languages in collaboration with the Cervantes Institute in Rome and the Department of Hispanic Studies of the Faculty of Foreign Languages organized the conference with the theme: “Spanish, Global Language”.
The opening speech was delivered by the Ambassador of Spain in Albania Sh. T. Mr. Álvaro Renedo and Prof. Dr. Esmeralda Kromidha, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, to continue with the speech of the director of the Cervantes Institute in Rome Mr. Ignacio Peryó, Prof. Serxho Rama, Director of the Spanish Department at the Faculty of Foreign Languages (UT), Nuria Díaz Rodriguez, Spanish language lecturer at the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and Development (AECID), (UT), Judith Gil, Head of Studies at the Institute Cervantes in Rome, Ignacio Revillo, Counselor of the Office of Education of the Embassy of Spain in Rome, Carmen Sainz, Technician of the Office of the Counselor of Education of the Embassy of Spain in Rome, who put emphasis on the current state of the Spanish language in the world and in Albania, the future perspectives, the importance and the opportunities offered by the teaching of the Spanish language in various fields of professional training and scientific research.
Of particular importance was the presentation of the DELE Spanish Language Diploma by Judith Gil, Head of Studies at the Cervantes Institute in Rome, the educational initiatives of Spanish abroad, as well as the presentation of the “Trampolina” Manual for learning the Spanish language for Albanians by Flavia Kaba, Professor and translator in the Department of Spanish (UT), Nuria Díaz Rodriguez, Spanish language lecturer of the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and Development (UT).
At the end of this Conference, the Rector of the University of Tirana, Prof. Dr. Artan Hoxha and the Ambassador of Spain in Albania Sh.T. Mr. Álvaro Renedo.
This activity ended with the concert of the well-known artist Vlashent Sata.
