At the invitation of the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Albania, representatives of the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, University of Tirana, participated in the official reception held on the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Croatia.
The solemn event brought together representatives of state institutions, the diplomatic corps, the academic community, and friends of Croatia. The Faculty of Foreign Languages was represented by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Esmeralda Kromidha, Vice Deans Prof. Assoc. Dr. Anida Kisi, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Marsela Likaj, Dr. Drita Rira, Dr. Kristina Sheperi, as well as the Head of the Department of Slavic and Balkan Languages, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Adriatik Derjaj.
During meetings with representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia and the Head of the Lecturers’ Department at the Ministry of Science and Education of Croatia, Ms. Ivana Fakac, discussions focused on the continuation of inter-institutional cooperation, with particular emphasis on hosting a Croatian language lector at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and on the introduction of Croatian as an extracurricular language in the academic year 2026–2027.
Both sides expressed their readiness to further strengthen academic, cultural, and international cooperation, with the aim of promoting multilingualism, fostering intercultural dialogue, and expanding opportunities for academic exchange.
