The Bachelor’s Programme in Italian Studies, with a Double Degree awarded jointly with the University for Foreigners of Siena (Italy), specialising in “Trilingual Mediator for Tourism and Entrepreneurship,” is offered by the Faculty of Foreign Languages through the Department of Italian Language. The programme aims to prepare specialists with an excellent command of written and spoken Italian, as well as of the culture, history, and literature of Italy, together with two additional foreign languages, forming linguistic and cultural mediators capable of operating in the fields of tourism and entrepreneurship. The Faculty of Foreign Languages offers further training for students in coordination with employers. This training addresses a range of topics in line with students’ academic background and the demands of the labour market. Students may take up part-time employment with companies with which the Faculty has signed cooperation agreements. Our students may be employed in both the public and private sectors, including: tourism agencies, hospitality establishments, entrepreneurial companies, cultural and tourism institutions, translation agencies, and the media. The Bachelor’s degree in Italian Studies, specialising in “Trilingual Mediator for Tourism and Entrepreneurship,” provides opportunities for further study at Second-Cycle level and/or in programmes of other cycles, as provided for by other applicable legal and sub-legal acts.
Our students have the opportunity to undertake one or two semesters of study at partner foreign universities with which the University of Tirana’s Faculty of Foreign Languages has signed Erasmus+ KA1 interinstitutional agreements, in: Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Austria, Portugal, Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, the Czech Republic, Latvia, Hungary, Lithuania, Slovenia, and Romania.
