🎓 Mirela Koça: A New Doctoral Achievement in Literary Studies

The Faculty of Foreign Languages, University of Tirana, is pleased to announce that Ms. Mirela Koça has successfully defended her doctoral dissertation and earned the scientific degree of “Doctor.”
Her dissertation, entitled “The Poetic Sensibility of Female Writers in Greece after the 1930s”, was conducted under the scientific supervision of Prof. Assoc. Dr. Lorena Dedja.
The study makes a significant contribution to Albanian scholarship on Greek literature by examining poetic sensibility as an aesthetic, ideological, and social category. Through an analysis of the literary works of Maria Polidhuri, Katina Papa, Rita Bumi-Papa, and Melisanthi, the research explores the development and distinctive features of Greek women’s poetry after the 1930s, in connection with modernism, the feminist movement, and the historical, political, and cultural transformations of the twentieth century.
This dissertation enriches the research perspective on Greek literature and contributes to a more inclusive approach to women’s literary production in Albanian academic studies.
👏 The Faculty of Foreign Languages congratulates Ms. Mirela Koça on this outstanding academic achievement and wishes her continued success in her academic and research career. The Faculty also extends its congratulations to her scientific supervisor for her valuable contribution to this process!
