The Teaching and Research Group “Communication and Cultural Studies” within the Department of English Language aims to orient study programmes and scientific research towards the best contemporary models in the fields of communication and culture. Adapting study programmes and individual courses to the changing demands of the labour market, as well as directing and deepening scientific research in these fields by following the cultural and communicative developments of society, are the main objectives of the group. The group also aims to initiate and deepen cooperation with national and international institutions in order to implement potential projects and activities in fulfilment of its objectives.

The long-term goals of the group include the study and research of communication from various perspectives, updated in accordance with contemporary theories. These include deepening theoretical knowledge of media and media communication, engaging with different cultures and building communication bridges with them in diverse contexts.

The Teaching and Research Group “Communication and Cultural Studies” aims to update course programmes, develop teaching materials for use in the classroom, and create a corpus in accordance with the objectives established within the project.
