The Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) in Central and Eastern Europe, in partnership with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the University of Tirana (UT) – Faculty of Foreign Languages, French Language Didactics Research Group, and the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ASCAL), organized the second edition of the “Francophone Forum on Quality in Higher Education in Central and Eastern Europe” (FFQ-ECO) in Tirana, Albania, on 6–7 December 2023.
Experts, decision-makers, academics and practitioners from Albania, Kosovo, France, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova, Montenegro, Lithuania, Georgia, Tunisia, and other countries explored best practices and shared successful experiences in university management and quality assurance, with the aim of contributing to better employment opportunities for young people.
The Forum represents a significant component of the initiatives undertaken by UNESCO, AUF and their partners to improve university governance across the Francophone world. This annual regional event serves as a platform for discussion, professional development and the exchange of experiences among key stakeholders involved in quality assurance in higher education institutions in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe that are members of AUF, as well as in the wider Francophone community.
