On 7 May 2025, Turkish language lecturers Assoc. Prof. Dr. Xhemile Abdiu and Dr. Alban Foçi met with final-year students of “Asim Vokshi” Language-Oriented High School to introduce them to the study opportunities offered by the Turkish Language Section at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, University of Tirana.
Following a short introductory video about Türkiye, the lecturers presented the study programmes offered by the Faculty of Foreign Languages across all three cycles of higher education, with particular emphasis on the programmes available in the Turkish Language Section.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss the Faculty’s academic cooperation with Turkish universities, the Erasmus+ programme, and the opportunities available to Albanian students through scholarships offered by Türkiye. A number of students from the Turkish Language Section have benefited from these opportunities. In the previous academic year, notably, a former student of “Asim Vokshi” High School and graduate of the Turkish Language Section was awarded a scholarship to study at Hacettepe University in Ankara.
