On June 24, 2026, the Faculty of Foreign Languages at the University of Tirana organized the academic competition “My PhD thesis in 3 Minutes,” an event dedicated to early-career researchers in the humanities, marking an innovative step in promoting scientific research at the University of Tirana and in Albania.
This event directly reflects the strategic commitment of the Faculty of Foreign Languages (UT) to the development and promotion of scientific research in the fields of linguistics, translation studies, intercultural communication, and contemporary didactics, within its third cycle (Doctoral) programs.
Participants presented, through three-minute videos, the scientific innovations, contributions, and impact of their dissertations, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and strong scientific communication skills—key competencies developed throughout doctoral training at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, which is grounded in independent research work and collaboration within research groups led by academic staff.

The jury was chaired by Prof. Dr. Anila Paparisto, Vice Rector of the University of Tirana, consisted of Prof. Dr. Esmeralda Kromidha, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages; Prof. Dr. Mark Marku, Dean of the Faculty of History and Philology; Mr. Rexhep Hida, General Director of the “Fan Noli” Publishing House; Ms. Alketa Ylli, Administrator of Cosmos Translation & Events LLC; and Mr. Ensar Demi, representative of the National Commercial Bank (BKT).
