A successful collaborative activity between the Debate Club of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, University of Tirana, and the language-oriented high school “Asim Vokshi” was held today on the premises of the latter.
During this training session, students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages guided high school students through the debate process, emphasizing the importance of structured argumentation, critical thinking, and effective communication.
The topic addressed, “The role and importance of foreign languages – are teachers and translators being replaced by artificial intelligence?”, sparked in-depth discussions and reflection on contemporary challenges and developments in the field of language and education.
This activity was made possible thanks to the support and cooperation of the Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Prof. Dr. Esmeralda Kromidha, as well as the Director of the language-oriented high school “Asim Vokshi”, Marsida Jarani. An important role in the organization and implementation of the activity was also played by the school teachers, Ajda Leka and Albina Haxhiraj.

Emanuel Murati, Liana Kaloti, Ami Kristuli, Era Spahiu, Semina Uka, Emilia Çibuku, Kearda Mane, Ester Bali, Dionis Palaj, Marko Llakaj, and Adja Buçka.
Meanwhile, the training was conducted by the trainers, students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages: Serena Dajti, Sara Hoxha, Ada Qosja, Brigilda Shorri, Emeija Erceku, and Steljona Gjika.
This activity once again highlighted the importance of inter-institutional cooperation in the academic and civic development of young people.
