Mimoza Puto (Lushnje, 1966) is a full-time academic staff member at the Spanish Language Department at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, University of Tirana, since 2014. Previously, she was an external lecturer at this Department. She is a lecturer of the courses on Latin American Civilization and Panorama of Pan-Hispanic Art. She graduated from the High School of Foreign Languages “Asim Vokshi”, Tirana, Spanish language, in 1984. In 1988 she graduated in History and Spanish language at the Faculty of History and Philology of the University of Tirana.
Since February 2022, she holds the title “Doctor of Science” with a thesis on “Internal and external perception of Albania in the Albanian and Spanish media”. She has published a number of scientific articles inside and outside the country and she has taken part in several national and international conferences as well. She has developed several trainings and courses for professors of Spanish and history organized by the Spanish government and universities. She has also published a large number of articles on Albania and Kosovo in the Spanish press, being a collaborator of the Spanish news agency, EFE.
