Youth and Diversity
Tirana was announced European Youth Capital for 2022 (EYC 2022) – a title proposed by the European Youth Forum in order to empower youth, to encourage their participation in the society and strengthen the European identity.
In 2022, “Tirana Youth Capital” offered to the Albanian Youth 8 programs and thousand opportunities for their empowerment and activation. Under the slogan Activate Youth, these programs served for prioritizing youth fields, activities, projects and initiatives of this special year for Tirana and all of Albania.
In this framework, the Non-Formal Group: Student Club of Art and Music of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, University of Tirana with president, student Stelina NDREU, won the project titled: “Western Balkan Youth Festival”, as part of the program (5) Youth and Diversity.

The General Concept:
The city of Tirana, in full cultural momentum, brought together for several days francophone youth from the entire Western Balkans region.
The project aimed to create an area of exchange of youth in a friendly environment by using French language as a means of communication.
A wide range of activities were offered to the participants on the topics of intercultural dialogue and regional cooperation, starting from the organization of workshops on the creation of intercultural dialogue posters, to the production of videos of peace messages in the region and other cultural activities.
Everything was finalized in high style, in a gala evening that united the ideas and energies of young francophones.
