The Teaching and Research Group “Linguistics – Didactics of the Turkish Language Programme” aims to work towards the teaching of Turkish as a foreign language. Its focus also includes the organization of scientific meetings, book promotion events, and international congresses in the fields of didactics, philology, and related disciplines.
Objectives of the Group:
Reviewing course programmes for the new academic year, updating them in accordance with current requirements, and ensuring their delivery by qualified internal and external academic staff.
Keeping the group up to date with the latest scientific developments will be achieved through subscriptions to the journals “Turkofonia,” “Afro-Eurasian Studies,” and “Osmanlı Medeniyeti.” Promoting publications by lecturers of the department is also part of the activities of this group.
Group Activities:
- Scientific meeting entitled “Literary Perspectives,” organized on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Albania and Türkiye, by the Department of Slavic and Balkan Languages – Turkish Language Programme.
- Workshop entitled “Innovations and Challenges in Translations from Turkish into Albanian,” with invited lecturers from Türkiye.
- Summer School on the topic of “Turkish Paleography and Calligraphy.”
- Winter School on the topic “Arabic Language, Culture and Civilization,” together with the related conference dedicated to 18 December, World Arabic Language Day, organized by the Department of Slavic and Balkan Languages in cooperation with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- 3rd International Scientific Congress on Regional Studies, “The Turkish Language in the Balkan Area,” organized by the Department of Slavic and Balkan Languages – Turkish Language Programme, in cooperation with other international universities.
- Scientific activities related to World Turkish Language Day, organized by the Turkish Language Programme, with the participation of invited lecturers from several universities in Türkiye and students of the programme.
